Quick update. When we reopen we’ll just be taking bookings for Nancy. There will be a few changes to it but nothing to make your stay less comfortable.
Nancy is our downstairs bedroom with ensuite shower room. It is named after my late mother.
Sadly we’ve had to remove our lovely Welsh textiles from Melin Tregwynt.
But there’s still the comfy bed, crisp white cotton sheets and this throw, which can be laundered more easily.
We’re keeping all the other room amenities, the armchairs, TV (Freeview) and DVD player (ask for a list of available DVDs) and all important comforts like tea, coffee and sweet treats. We’ll just check your preferences before your visit so we can put in the type you like.
The shower room has thick white towels. This year we’re trying out some new toiletries from Highland soaps. they are based just outside Fort William and have a shop here in Oban. If you’d prefer we have individual soaps too.
Or perhaps you’d like to bring your own. We’ll check before you arrive.
Sadly Mum never got to see this room but I know she would have loved the metal framed bed and calm blue colour scheme. If you’d like to read more about her, check out the blog post “The story of those new names, Part II”
Upstairs is our suite Flora which has a bedroom, bathroom with bath and separate shower, and its own sitting room. If you choose Flora you have the upper floor of Sheiling all to yourselves, just be careful on those combed ceilings while you’re gazing out at the view.
Flora is named after George’s mother and features Scottish textiles and items from her homes in Edinburgh, Jura and India.
And of course you’ll find the same facilities and treats..
