Tourism has returned to Scotland.
Of course things have changed. It’s not quite back to business as normal but we are looking forward to welcoming visitors once again.
We’ve spent a lot of time planning how to reopen while still giving the same Sheiling experience that we know our guests enjoy.
There’ll be a little more correspondence before your stay, and sadly a little less interaction with us while you’re here.
But you can rest assured that we’re doing everything we can to make your stay special.
We’ve signed up to Sawday’s Clean and Safe charter
Some things have changed. Our lovely Melin Tregwynt throws and cushions are in temporary retirement but our rooms still look cosy and welcoming with new 100% cotton replacements which can be laundered between guests.
Tea, coffee, perhaps both? We’ll ask you what you want and you’ll find them in your room.
The books, magazines and guides have gone but we can share information with you electronically.
Sadly for the next wee while you won’t be able to share stories with your fellow guests over breakfast. We’re only opening one room – Nancy, unless the other room is needed for a larger household travelling together.
And it might be harder to get the dates you want as we’re going to leave a day between bookings. That way the room is cleaned when guests leave, aired for a day, and then cleaned again in preparation for guests’ arrival.
We’ll have hand sanitiser and of course handwashing facilities.
There won’t be a breakfast buffet, we’ll tailor food to your tastes. Just let us know if you prefer cereal, fruit or perhaps both. And of course there’ll still be our cooked breakfasts to order. And maybe some new dishes.
Online booking now open for August 2020.

It’s all different but what hasn’t changed is our commitment to giving you the best stay we can.
We hope to welcome you soon,
Caroline, George and Bramble
