Our area produces great food, fresh seafood, meat and eggs from local farms, and vegetables grown at Ardmaddy castle.  And our restaurants and bars make good use of them.

At the time of writing everywhere is still closed but plans are being made for reopening. Check websites and social media for up to date information, or drop us a line.

We have two pubs on the island, one the Tigh an Truish – is nearly next door.   It’s a friendly and historic pub.  Last year a lovely new restaurant opened and they’ve been keeping busy with more improvements during lockdown. Look at these beautiful new signs.

I’m really looking forward to eating there again.

At the other end of the island at Ellenabeich you’ll find   the Oyster Bar   with a varied menu and gorgeous views from its deck.

They also have outdoor seating in the square at Ellenabeich.

The Fisherman’s Kitchen can deliver delicious seafood platters and more.                         Pre- booking essential, ask us for details.

Seil’s newest food business Solace Bakery cooks up delicious wood fired pizzas and breads for take away and delivery.                                                                                               Check out their delicous cakes and pastries too.

The Puffer on Easdale island is named for the boats which were once the lifeline of the islands. During lockdown they’ve been busy baking up a storm too, with a different cake or pastry every day.

You can buy them here on Seil at Balvicar Stores

The Puffer will be offering meals and snacks but check out their Facebook page  for up to date information, and a glimpse of those cakes.

Any of the takeaway options can be enjoyed in the comfort of our dining room.
